BRO, DO YOU EVEN STITCH?
If you make your own cool stitches, please share them with us! If you have an original design, or if you’ve stitched one of ours, send a picture to share@steotch.com – and be sure to include your address, because if we post your pic, we’ll send you a vinyl Steotch sticker. Yay!
- Derek Sanchez-Hoeksema sent this Home Alone-inspired piece. He has lots of other fun pieces on his Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop/OhSewNerdy).
- Cole writes: “I’ve been cross-stitching since I was 16. I learned how on YouTube. This is one of my designs that I drew pixel by pixel. It represented a period of my life so perfectly: when I made this, I was a socially inept but crafty nineteen year old with way too much time on my hands! (Yes, this was when memes were relevant.) Also, I can’t help but smile when I see it and remember the many seasons of Futurama I watched while making it.”
- Katie says: Here is my original cross stitch that I made for a friend that is a french teacher in Chicago. It roughly translates to “you’s a fine motherfucker, won’t you back that ass up?”
- Jane says: This is my attempt at Kiss The Cook, which is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I absolutely love it. I’ve sent it to my son in Australia (I live in London) and he loves it too.
- Alex says, “This is my discworld inspired cross stitch, with a quote from death. “
- Mary says: I love this pattern. It makes me laugh, more than any other that you’ve made. I am seriously thinking about bringing it to my office, so everyone can see how awesome it is.
- Amanda runs a cool tumblr at http://xxstitchery.tumblr.com/. This is her tribute to Jonathan Coulton’s First of May.
- Steph says: I learned stitching from my mom, who learned it form her mom. I use it as meditation/relaxation, a way to give awesome gifts to friends, and a way to help support myself. You can find her Etsy shop here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/stephXstitch
- Lisa LeBlanc’s Etsy shop is full of rad cross stitch and other creations: https://www.etsy.com/shop/cottagenestinteriors
- Jessica writes: This was my first sampler ever, and I love it so much. Everyone who sees it laughs at it, and it makes me feel guilt-pride because it was so easy to make!
- Shelby says: Awww Yeah! I call this piece “Pimp Daddy” for obvious reasons…
- Heather writes: “This is fun! I have more, but only these pics available at the moment and REALLY want one of those stickers!!!”
- Sara stitched this for a friend. She has a new Etsy shop at https://www.etsy.com/shop/Stitchnanigans
- Erin’s in grad school, and took up cross stitching to burn off some nervous energy. (http://www.erinridgeway.com/)
…huh. I made that pattern – the ‘feeling stabby’ unicorn one… though it looks like the stolen version. 🙁
This aggression will not stand, man. Write me at emily@steotch.com, and we’ll figure it out.
I have been looking for the Jules Ezekiel quote for forever! Okay not forever but my mom found the picture over a year ago and said it would be the perfect Christmas or Mother’s Day gift for her. Haha! But no matter where I have looked or what I have Googled, I can’t find a pattern. I would just eyeball it but I want to make sure I have the correct skin colors or it might look really messed up. I know it says the pattern is no longer posted on this website but can you sell it to me or point me in a direction where I might be able to find it?
Omg I need these patterns! I love everyone’s work!
You are aware that what’s written on the Eiffel Tower one actually means “You’re a true son of a bitch, let your ass be teared appart !” … right ? (it doesn’t mean anything ant it’s very vulgar, even to us french people who can use insults as punctuation or exclamations of joy, so that says a lot…….)(plus there are lots of grammatical and conjugation mistakes xD)
